The List

I hate it when I discover a band no one knows about, and then they get on the radio and start getting super famous, then all of a sudden everyone around me acts like theyre such huge fans, then theyd ask me "oh so do you know ____? theyre a great band. they have this awesome song called....." and im thinking to myself "yes, yes, YES. i know. ive known them from the very beginning". Ok, im being really dramatic, and well hate is a strong word, I just really dont like it, which is why I say that Im very selfish with my music. Lol. Decided to make a list today, dumb idea buts its just for my own reference, you know, as evidence that I know certain bands before they make it big.

And its weird, because I want these bands to be successful and have lots of fans and stuff, its just.. Idk. I dont understand myself sometimes. Just some personal stuff, one of my many flaws. Blah blah blah blah...

The first 8 or so are my top. The rest isnt ranked, I just put them there as soon as I thought of it. Ill update it when I need to.

Anberlin (credit Eljean for introducing me)
Spitalfield (which I like to call 'the perfect band')
New Found Glory (since 6th grade)
Quietdrive
Mainstay
A Change of Pace
Number One Gun
This Day and Age (changed their name to The Reign of Kindo and a new sound, pretty sad about that)
The Fold
The Rocket Summer
Rookie of the Year
The Almost
My American Heart
Every Avenue (kinda reminscent of Fall Out Boy)
Four Year Strong
Jack's Mannequin
Something Corporate
Madina Lake (credit Josh for introducing me.. somehow)
And Then I Turned Seven (credit Cori for introducing me)
All Time Low
Angels and Airwaves
Mae
Stellar Kart
Autopilot Off
Matchbook Romance
National Product
TheAUDITION
Boyce Avenue
McFly
FM Static
Hawk Nelson (a Christian band, no matter what anyone says)
Falling Up
Skillet
Valencia
Young Love
The Spill Canvas
Watashi Wa
*Amber Pacific
Acceptance
Mutemath
New End Original
Newsboys
The Juliana Theory (credit Brink. haha.)
Copeland
Boy Kill Boy
Hellogoodbye (just their EP stuff)
Daughtry (dont laugh)
Forgive Durden

m-flo
Big Bang
Epik High
Jinusean
Fly to the Sky
FT Island
Se7en
DBSK

Then there are the basic bands (not 'basic' as in not good or whatever, just basic as in must-have-automatic-mainstream-stuff) like Lifehouse, blink, Dashboard, Jimmy Eat World, Relient, FOB, LP, GGD, etc.

I know theres a lot more, Ill list them later. I have to do my dad's math homework right now. Grr. Its ok, Ill suffer now, and be rewarded with that car later :)

*Funny story about how I got into Amber Pacific. Let's just say it I bought their CD at BestBuy completely on impulse, without knowing who they were or what they sounded like, it was just completely random. Ive never heard of them before, knew nothing about them, just took a look at the cover, found the lighthouse interesting, and decided to take a listen, and I liked it. I bought it that day and listened to it non stop for like 2 weeks or something. I put it away, then a few months later, I hear their single "Gone So Young" playing on the radio. Then I start hearing it everywhere, ringtones, myspace pages, people at school, and it drove me insane. You know, just the fact that I knew them a long time ago, and only now all my friends are talking about it. Yes, I have a problem. Lol.

Those flashing lights come from everywhere
The way they hit her, I just stop and stare

Im in love with the ending, interlude part of LoveStoned by Justin Timberlake. He should make more songs like that.

Havent been on this thing since, idk 2 months? Havent been on MySpace since the beginning of September. Not much of a computer addict these days, Ive got other things to do.

2nd quarter started today. Round 2 of Jenn's senior high school year. Let's not make the same mistakes I made last quarter. Most of them had to do with time management, doing things I need to do vs. the things I want to do, like relax or watch tv or something. I need to sort out my priorties. // Im excited for my 2nd project in my 2nd period. (Wow, there are a lot of 2's in this paragraph. Lets keep it going, shall we. 22222 22 2 2 2 2222.) Where was I? Oh right. I have a pretty good color scheme going on, and collaging is one of my stronger skills, especially through PS. **KAWAMURA'S RESEARCH PAPER DUE FRIDAY!! Hmm, I should start. Let me finish this blog first. Lol, well there goes my "let's not make the same mistakes I made last quarter" resolution.

I think I should get my hair cut, but Im scared that the hair-cutter lady will cut it funny. I really liked the way it turned out the last time I got it cut, that time before prom in March. Its because that Korean lady cut it. Koreans do it right. Haha. But Im gonna try to see if I can get her again, she was nice.

Buca's with Kakazu and Aubrey Sasha Trisha Deyh was a lot of fun. Shrimp & Scallop Fra Diavolo, mmmm soooo good. Especially after that when we sat in the park, in the light-less dark scary freezing cold basketball court and just talked. We pretended that Deyh had to go home so that we could leave Kakazu without feeling bad, lol. "Would you rather have a guy with wet soaking hairy armpits or a fungus toe?" - Deyh. LOL, omg that girl is hilarious. Note to self: Find a way to get in contact with Bryson Espresion before Winter break... XD. Evil girls. Not as bad as Deyh's one though...

Started Christmas shopping already. Ive finished Aubrey's and Traci's gifts, woohoo. Now, just 5 other Crayola's to go, and about 6 more people after that. Ok, got it. I remember I saw this thing that wouldve been perfect to give to Elmo, but on the back it has this pretty scary picture of a girl in odd colors. Stupid modern designs these days... Oh well, Ill get her something else.

What happened to all my fanfics? Im so sad, but I understand, they got a life too.

Ive got a college crisis. Theres this really good university in California that I really want to go, provided that I have the funds to do so. They have my major, and Trisha wants to go for that same school too. How awesome would it be to dorm with her and have a friend with me throughout college? I bet within those 4 years, she'll turn me into an uchinanchu. Woot, sounds cool. Plus, they have deer running around on their campus. Ive always wanted to see woodland creatures. Perfect school situation right? But I dont think I could survive leaving my family, friends, the familiarity of the roads/places/people behind. What if things change when I come back to Hawaii? What if I change? What if I never want to leave California? So then what, I'll settle for a Hawaii college, like UH or HPU, both good but safe schools, and Ill always be thinking of what I couldve done, regretting not going to CA and wondering what it wouldve been like for the rest of my life. Ha, sounds so dramatic.

......Yes, expect me to complain and contemplate more on this subject later, constantly until the second I accept admission into some post-high-school institution.

I love hand sanitizer. I know, I know, they supposedly dont work, but I like to think they do. Placebo? Hmm... Ah well. I love hand sanitizer.

Tumbles has been sleeping in my room almost everyday for the past 2 months or so. I like having him in there with me at night, before I sleep, I carry his orange fluffy body from his current sleeping position all the way to my room. I dont like sleeping alone, thats why. His presence is comforting, though it gets a bit annoying when I wake up to his meowing or to him standing on my tummy, and even more so that I cant ever get mad at him because hes so adorable.

I need a new kdrama to watch. Any recommendations?

If someone said 3 years from now, you'd be long gone
I'd stand up and punch them out
'Cause theyre all wrong

I like the "punch them out" line, kinda funny (:

Cant make any promises as to when Ill update again. It may be tomorrow, next week, in 3 months, Im not sure. So.... til next time, blog.
